What you’ll do as Senior HR Generalist

As a senior HR Generalist at memoQ, you will

  • Experience a role that is far from one-dimensional. You’ll play an active role in our HR reinvention, developing processes and policies that best support our business strategy and help our people feel that they are working for the best company
  • Contribute to define our long-term HR strategy that will bring our organization and talents to the next level
  • Take an active role in defining and executing a new Performance Management system that puts our people in the center and promotes the concept of a learning organization
  • Constantly update and fine-tune our Compensation and Benefit system so that we stay competitive on the market
  • Be part of designing and implementing a value-adding employee survey methodology (engagement survey) and execute projects related to the results
  • Think of and design meaningful policies that will provide transparency across the organization without sacrificing flexibility too much
  • Take a role in selecting and implementing our new HR Management system
  • Take part in the recruitment activities by focusing on employer branding and further develop our recruitment strategy for IT professionals
  • Support the HR admin by occasionally substituting the person who is responsible for the payroll (outsourced) and contractual issues.

What we think will help you succeed in this role

We believe you can be successful in this role if you recognize yourself in the description below.

  • You have minimum 5-7 years’ experience in HR preferably in big and/or mid-sized organizations and you have dealt with different areas of HR in the past like OD, Performance management, Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment
  • You have a solid knowledge of Hungarian Labor Code and have dealt with Payroll-related tasks in the past
  • You're a quick thinker, able to solve complex problems with ease
  • You're conscientious and organized, delivering what you promise, meeting deadlines, and working to completion despite any distractions
  • You're happy to dive deep into the details and get your hands dirty when needed
  • You're not rattled by change and ambiguity, but actively seek to try new approaches and change course flexibly when it makes sense
  • You seek input for decisions broadly both within and outside the organization, communicating with ease and transparency with different stakeholders
  • You have experience in change management and HR project execution
  • You have seen and worked in different organizations developing a breadth (rather than depth) of experience
  • You're familiar with or are willing to learn about IT companies and their challenges
  • You proactively keep learning about ways of improving yourself as an HR professional and monitor the newest HR trends and methodologies
  • You speak and write English and Hungarian fluently
  • You live near or are willing to relocate to Budapest so you can spend some days in our head office every week (with plenty of flexible home office opportunities)
