About the memoQ Day

Following the success of major memoQ events such as memoQfests and previous memoQ Days in Toronto and Paris, the memoQ team organizes a free networking and learning event and is looking forward to meeting their current and future TMS users on June 1 (Thursday), 2023, in Seattle, WA, USA.

Some of the topics we plan to cover:

What are the main concepts behind memoQ, the world’s most comprehensive TMS? Where is memoQ headed? What is the secret that propelled memoQ to its current market leading position? How can memoQ optimize your organization’s translation processes whether you are a translation service provider or an enterprise? How can you improve ROI and reduce overheads immediately after introducing memoQ at your organization?

memoQ’s mini-conference in Seattle will not be a typical learning event. Those who attended memoQfests surely remember that networking is an integral part of memoQ events. We are happy to continue this tradition by offering a great mixture of learning and networking opportunities, with drinks and snacks included.

9:45 AM - 10:10 AM - Using memoQ with Amazon Web Services (by Andrew Vestal, Head of Localization and Penny Fang, Localization Engineer)- Amazon Games built our memoQ localization pipeline to be "cloud-first,” leveraging existing AWS technologies to automate and scale our pipeline to support our growing portfolio. In this presentation, we'll talk about the AWS services we selected to build our end-to-end localization pipeline around memoQ. We'll talk about security, network topology, storage, pre- and post-processing steps, workflow automation, and memoQ server configuration

10:50 AM - 11:15 AM - Silver linings: Transitioning to MemoQ Server and Cloud ROI (by Josh Kroman, Director of Operations and CISO at Dynamic Language) - Translation and localization teams face a number of challenges when moving to a new translation management system. memoQ server can be connected to cloud architecture to manage both translation and business management functions. By connecting the two systems within Microsoft Azure, Dynamic Language has been able to realize gains in efficiency and compliance while maintaining a customer-first approach.
