Gábor Bessenyei – Senior Product Manager at memoQ
I have always been enthusiastic about the combination of languages and computers – two totally different worlds. One is human and always escapes from the trappings of rules, the other is very formalized and is driven by rules. I started my career in 1994 as a translator for SAP software. Between 1997 and 2001, I was IT manager, translation coordinator, and member of the board at SAP Hungary. Since 2001, I have been the founding managing partner and CEO of MorphoLogic Localisation, a language service provider. I am co-founder of Globalese, a Neural MT system focusing on custom MT engines. Since September 2024, I am Senior Product manager at memoQ, responsible for MT and AI related topics. As memoQ continued to grow, he expanded his responsibilities with new professional knowledge in areas such as compliance and mediation. Currently, he primarily works on memoQ’s vision and strategy related to artificial intelligence.

But let’s be honest: they can seem intimidating. Regex isn’t about words, but patterns—and that can be confusing at first. Never used them before? Tried and got lost in a maze of brackets and slashes? Then join our webinar!
