The Challenge
The main difficulty was the scale of the documents. They were saturated with terminology that had to stay consistent throughout the entire translation, and repetitions that were a very time-consuming part of the process.
Why memoQ?
memoQ was not the first translation tool FSD used. Other tools were eliminated one by one because of various drawbacks. Comparatively, memoQ’s strongest advantages are its user-friendly interface and ease of use; it works properly out of the box, without endless hours of setup.

Previously, a lot of time was lost adjusting fuzzy matches and recognition rules that never worked perfectly, but AGT now adapts automatically to the translator’s style. Terminology drift is neutralized. When working with large documents, having terminology suggestions on hand, together with AGT’s consistency, keeps everything aligned. Separating documentation into different projects helps keep the workspace organized and easy to manage.
Fitting Into the Workflow
Getting started in memoQ is easy. Once a Project Manager receives a task, it is loaded into the corresponding project, where the settings are already optimized to that particular file. And, if a task is too big for one person, it can quickly be sent out to other translators without delay.
