How it works

To automate a good chunk of a traditional fully manual post-editing workflow, a ModelFront step is added before the manual human post-editing step:

1. Standard pre-translation
Apply translation memories and fill in machine translation

2. ModelFront
AI automatically checks and fixes the new segments.

  • ModelFront automatically confirms high-quality translations.
  • If translation quality is not verified, ModelFront leaves it unconfirmed.

The analysis is run again to reflect the updated cost savings.

Locking confirmed segments is optional.

  • Human post-editing
    Now linguists only need to work on the remaining unconfirmed segments, significantly reducing the scope.

ModelFront works with the existing memoQ setup – no lock-in into a machine translation engine or manual translation service.

ModelFront first became available in memoQ TMS with memoQ’s AIQE (Artificial Intelligence Quality Estimates) feature, released in memoQ 10.1 in 2023.
