No, you need to pay the full price upfront. There are no other available options.

Can I try memoQ translator pro?

Yes, we have a free 30-day trial version via our website, here. You can download memoQ translator pro trial version by clicking on the “Start trial” option on the product page.

Is the license perpetual?

memoQ translator pro license is perpetual. You purchase it once, it is yours forever.
Together with purchasing memoQ translator pro, you receive 4 hours of assistance available with our Support Team, and a year-long access to new memoQ version releases (We usually release 4 new versions a year, one in every quarter).

What is the SMA (Support and Maintenance Agreement) fee?

A year after your initial memoQ translator pro license purchase you will be asked to pay for the SMA fee.
The SMA (Support and Maintenance Agreement fee) is a yearly and continuous fee that cannot be skipped.
While the SMA fee payment is not obligatory, as your license is perpetual, it is highly recommended you keep track of the SMA fee, as it cannot be skipped.
We advise you to renew your SMA each year when getting close to the expiration date. Each year is payable. If you have not renewed your SMA in three years, you would need to pay all 3 years to enjoy the latest version of memoQ.
The SMA renewal date is always counted from the date of your initial memoQ license purchase. This date cannot be changed when renewing your SMA.

Why should I pay the SMA fee if my license is perpetual?

The SMA fee is what allows you to access newer versions of memoQ, a year after your initial purchase passed.
The SMA fee also allows you to gain access to Support. Without a valid SMA fee, Support will not assist you.

How much is the Service and Maintenance Agreement (SMA)?

It is 124 EUR/154 USD. Please note that the SMA yearly fee, counting from the date of your first purchase.

Can I use memoQ after the SMA expired?

Yes, your memoQ translator pro license is perpetual. The only limitation of not renewing the SMA is that you will not be able to access newer versions of memoQ, nor request support without a valid SMA.

Can I transfer my translator pro from a different computer to a new one?

Yes, you can, by simply adding -001 or -002 to the end of the serial number. Please note, that you can only transfer the license to two computers.

Can I use my license on more than 1 computer?

Yes, but you may use it on 2 computers maximum. Just simply add -001 or -002 at the end of your serial number.

What is the validity of my SMA?

The SMA is a yearly fee. Your SMA is counted from the day of your first purchase. The date of your first purchase will indicate when you will need to renew your SMA.

Can I just extend my SMA from today?

It is possible to renew the SMA on any day, however, please keep in mind that the first purchase date will always indicate when the SMA should be renewed for another year.

Can I still use my translator pro license if my SMA is not valid anymore?

Yes, you can still use translator pro, as your license itself is perpetual. The only limitation of not renewing your SMA is that you will not be able to download newer versions of memoQ, and you will not be eligible to receive help from the Support Team.

My SMA expired, how much do I need to pay to download the current version?

Please calculate the number of years elapsed since your first purchase and multiply it by 124 EUR or by 154 USD. In order to make a correct calculation, use the first purchase date as it is the indicator of the SMA renewal date.

Can I still use my translator pro license if my SMA is not valid anymore?

Yes, you can still use translator pro. The only limitation of not renewing your SMA is that you will not be able to download newer versions of memoQ, and you will not be eligible to receive help from the Support Team.

If I see a discount for new translator pro license purchase, can I use it for my SMA renewal?

Buying a completely new license and renewing the SMA are two completely different options, however, we run regular campaigns for expired SMA renewals via email.

What is my translator pro’s serial number?

The serial number is the identification of your license — it should be provided when contacting Sales or Support.

Can I use the serial number on 2 computers, even at home or in the office; on a laptop or desktop?

You may use your translator pro license by adding to your serial number a -001 and -002 at the end.

If I see a discount for new translator pro license purchase, can I use it for my SMA renewal?

Buying a completely new license and renewing the SMA are two completely different options, however, we run regular campaigns for expired SMA renewals via email.

Can I get a VAT invoice?

If you require an invoice, please make sure to send a ticket to our Support Team here. In the ticket, please state the nature of your request (invoice), with all the necessary information, and our team will assist you in creating the invoice.
Please note, in order to assist you with an invoice, a purchase of one full price memoQ translator pro license must be made, or at least 5 years of missing SMA for one translator pro license.
