1. What are cookies?
Cookies, also referred to as web cookies, Internet cookies or browser cookies, are small pieces of data, usually of letter or numbers, which are sent from a website and stored in a user's web browser while the user is browsing that website.
Cookies help to remember information like items in a shopping cart or to record the user's browsing activity including clicking particular buttons, logging in, or recording which pages were visited by the user.
3. Types of cookies
There are two types of cookies:
• Session cookies are created temporarily in your browser's subfolder while you are visiting a website. Once you leave the site, the session cookie is deleted.
• Persistent cookies files remain in your browser's subfolder and are activated again once you visit the website that created that particular cookie. A persistent cookie remains in the browser's subfolder for the duration period set within the cookie's file.
