Goals

Goals

Wabbit needed a reliable TMS to support its collective from its start in 2016. Their goal was to have a flexible solution that could handle various file types, centralize translation memories, and enhance both translation and project management workflows.

Challenges

Challenges

Managing different file types and maintaining consistency across projects posed significant challenges. Ensuring precise quality checks without consuming too much time was also a concern. Existing tools lacked the comprehensive features needed to support both translators and project managers efficiently.

memoQ TMS provided the flexibility Wabbit needed. It allowed them to import different file types into one environment, centralize translation memories, and improve efficiency. The intuitive QA view enabled thorough, time-efficient error checking, making memoQ the preferred tool for both translation and project management.

“memoQ TMS offers many features that other translation management systems lack, which is why it is our preferred tool both as translators and as project managers.”

Simplified Workflows

memoQ TMS has been Wabbit’s trusted TMS right from the beginning. The ability to work with multiple file types in the same environment has improved project consistency, while centralized translation memories ensure cohesive results across tasks. memoQ’s comprehensive tools have not only enhanced efficiency but also supported Wabbit’s growth as a collective, enabling them to finish complex projects.

Infor’s statistical machine translation (SMT) struggled with unrelated language pairs (like English to Japanese) and disfluent translations. Limited training data caused terminology issues when combining datasets, making it hard to maintain consistency across projects.

Infor

As Infor’s preferred machine translation provider, globalese by memoQ has been a reliable and strong partner for almost a decade now, allowing our department to speed up the translation process of new and recurring — often large — projects while maintaining structural, terminological, and overall linguistic correctness.
