While Kraus & Naimer is still in the early stages of memoQ implementation, they already feel the impact on the quality and consistency of their technical terminology. They estimate to save at least 50% of time on translations and thus double their productivity.

““memoQ allows us to systematically manage our multilingual content and documents in one place and it helps us to save time while keeping our technical terminology consistent.“”

Jacqueline Weiß
Communications Manager

Early days

Kraus & Naimer were looking for an on-premise solution that would conform to their internal security and IT policies. Their main goal was to find a software solution that would centralize their translations for all their languages and sales agencies around the world. They found that memoQ meets all the criteria.

Implementing memoQ

Although Kraus & Naimer is still in the early stages of implementing all their planned projects, there is already an impact on the quality and consistency of their technical terminology. They have built and increased awareness of the importance of consistent use of terminology – for all their stakeholders.

The software allows us to systematically manage our multilingual content and documents in one place and it helps us to save time while keeping our technical terminology consistent.“ – shares Jacqueline Weiß, Communications Manager at Kraus & Naimer

Onboarding and support

As part of their onboarding process, Kraus & Naimer have found the online sessions very helpful to get a feel for the various functions and possibilities of memoQ. All their questions were answered during the online meetings, and thanks to the recordings of the training, they can now use them as a reference guide.

The team has been extremely satisfied with the technical support of memoQ as all their minor issues were promptly resolved.

Features

The alignment function allows Kraus & Naimer to integrate existing translations collected over many years in a neat and practical manner.

Terminology of various sources, such as their product database, will be evaluated and subsequently imported into the memoQ term base, to enhance consistency.
