What you’ll do in this role at memoQ
You will work under the direction of memoQ’s General Counsel / Chief Compliance Officer to help take the business to the next level while ensuring lawful and compliant operation.
Your tasks will include:
- reviewing and drafting various commercial and legal documents (contracts, general terms and conditions, policies etc.)
- staying up to date with legal and regulatory obligations across various jurisdictions
- liaising with customers and staff on various legal matters (including commercial law, intellectual property law and corporate compliance), replying to information requests of legal relevance
- participating in the operation of memoQ’s compliance program, including KYC processes

- You have a law degree (preferably Hungarian, US or Canadian)
- You have at least 2 to 5 years’ experience (preferably in-house or at an international law firm, dealing with various jurisdictions, with expertise in one or more of the following topics: IP law, commercial law, tax law, data privacy)
- You have demonstrable experience in contract drafting and negotiation
- You have a get-it-done, collaborative approach to problem solving, and a supportive attitude
- You are proficient in English and Hungarian, with the ability to draft and negotiate legal documents in both languages
